The former Victoria’s Secret Angel and British fashion model, best known for her collaborations with major British multinational retailer, Marks & Spencer took to Instagram today to announce her departure from her beauty brand, Rose Inc.
In a heartfelt post, Rosie writes, “Due to significant changes within the business, I’ve made the considered decision to step down from the brand,” she continued by saying “In August 2023, Amyris, Inc, Rose Inc’s joint venture partner, declared bankruptcy, leading to the sale of Rose Inc’s assets to the highest bidder at auction.”
Amyris, Inc. founded in 2003 is a synthetic biotechnology and renewable chemical company. Amyris serves the speciality and performance chemicals, flavours and fragrances, cosmetics ingredients, pharmaceuticals, and nutraceuticals markets. On August 10th, 2023 the biotech firm filed for bankruptcy in the US and auctioned off four consumer brands in its portfolio.
Rosie, who recently announced her partnership with entrepreneur and investor, Anna Sweeting and her fund, The Equity Studio, explained, “The brand is now under new ownership, and moving forward I am no longer involved or affiliated with its operations, products, or promotional activities.”
Founded in 2018, Rose Inc. leverages sustainable innovation and nearly two decades of experience in the makeup chair, the result is indulgent colour and skincare that outperforms in every category and is marketed as clean beauty powered by science.
Rosie finished off her announcement by showing her gratitude for the support, commitment and belief she received during her time at Rose Inc. “As I embrace the future, I reflect on the journey and the invaluable lessons I’ve learned along the way.”
Friends and family flocked to the comment section to show their support, such as her husband, Jason Statham who wrote, “One door closes another opens…Glad to put this one to bed!! The best is yet to come baby. Love forever J x”
